Vaisala Sigmet product line continues to provide the best in weather radar signal, data processing and display systems

Vaisala and Sigmet, the world leaders in meteorological instrumentation and radar data processing systems have joined forces to provide customers with a new generation in radar systems. Sigmet Corporation has been merged into Vaisala Inc., and continues operating as Vaisala Sigmet product line.

As part of Vaisala, Sigmet continues to provide customers with the same reliability, service and support that have made them the number one supplier of weather radar signal, data processing and display systems for the past 25 years. Vaisala Group’s worldwide sales and services offer all customers an extensive and versatile support network for a wide range of measurement needs.

Sigmet was established in 1980 by experts who worked at the weather radar laboratory of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, MIT, at the time. The company was founded in response to government and private sector demand for the types of systems they were developing at the MIT. At the beginning of 2006 Sigmet Inc. became part of the Vaisala Group and continues as Vaisala Sigmet product line in Westford, Massachusetts.

Vaisala Sigmet product line is the world leader in signal and data processing systems for weather radar applications. These include operational radar systems and networks, wind shear detection, dual polarization, hydrology and research.
