Pilots and airport personnel make critical decisions based on the weather. Vaisala’s Automated Weather Observing Systems (AWOS) are pilot’s reliable guide through ever-changing weather conditions, so informed decisions can be made with confidence. There are more than 700 Vaisala AWOS are currently operating throughout North America. Large state networks vary in size from 10 to more than 60 systems and are installed in Minnesota, Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, Georgia, Kentucky, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Tennessee, Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa and Colorado.
Vaisala provides a complete line of AWOS systems as well as upgrades to incorporate new features. As an airport grows, its needs change. Vaisala ensures the AWOS is configured to meet the growing needs of any facility.
