Free license for IRIS/display

IRIS/Display is our industry-leading software package for the graphical presentation of radar data. It can also serve as a remote control/monitoring seat on an IRIS network, and is capable of generating a basic set of products on its own.

We are pleased to offer an unlimited number of seats of IRIS/Display to all of our IRIS customers and end-users. Please use the form below to request a free, renewable, 1-year temporary license that will allow you to run IRIS/Display on any computer or workstation.

  • You may install IRIS/Display on any LINUX or HPUX computer that you happen to have "lying around". The computer does not have to be dedicated to this task, and does not have to be one of your original IRIS machines.
  • If you have an existing radar site running IRIS and would like to install some additional on-site displays for your forecasters to use, you can simply add more IRIS/Display nodes to your existing LAN.
  • If you are part of a university or research group that runs IRIS/Radar, you might like to peek at the current weather from time to time. Simply install IRIS/Display on your laptop or office PC, and have desktop access to all the current activity.
  • Our philosophy is that it's your data, and you should be free to view it whenever the need arises and from wherever it is most convenient. We are proud of our history of providing open access to IRIS data through our public documentation and published file/data formats. We are happy to continue this tradition by supplying free IRIS/Display licenses so that you can make the most of your investment in IRIS.

To request your free IRIS/display license, please fill out the form here. Note that you must be running IRIS version 7.06 or later for these licenses to work properly.
