By Spring 2005, there were over 140 Vaisala IceCast Traffic Weather Cameras installed throughout the world, including locations as diverse as North America, UK, Scandinavia and the Republic of Ireland.
The cameras, installed on Vaisala ROSA weather stations or available in a stand-alone configuration use the linux-based DMC586 card. Camera images are viewed on IceNet as soon as they are received from the outstations.
